DJs, selectors and increasingly tastemakers, Handson Family are somewhat of an enigma when it comes to describing exactly what they do.
Fiercely proud of their respective South London heritages, married couple Chris and Cyndi have always leaned into uplifting and representing their community with an unwavering commitment to platforming Black British music and club culture with an inclusive yet serious approach.
Over the course of their career, the pair are fondly known for creating much needed third space music events in less conventional places with a diy ‘hands on’ approach.
Over the 20 years plus that they have worked together, their passion for genuine collaboration has seen them work with an array of notable musicians, djs and events.
Their own dj sets are not to be underestimated. Their ability to weave genre-spanning narratives does not erode away from the often uplifting dance floor energy they are able to produce…all whilst keeping their musical hearts and roots firmly deferential to the culture that raised them.
